Overview #
The hunt for Captain Tharivol Eathalena is a descent into the soot-stained politics of Caliphas, born from a desperate bargain struck in the blood-scented silence of a derelict pump house. Following the arson at The Iron Lung and the discovery that they were being framed by a skin-shifting assassin, the SmashEmUps have found an unlikely, fanged ally in the master tailor Radvir Giovanni.
The Interrogation: Using his supernatural influence, Radvir forced the captured doppelganger to reveal its employer: Captain Tharivol Eathalena.
The Motive: According to the doppelganger, Tharivol hired the shapeshifter to frame the party in order to justify a crackdown and steal the Voice Of Sarenrae.
The Vampire’s Perspective: Radvir believes Tharivol is a zealot attempting to incite a genocidal war between the living and the undead. He suspects the Captain may be in league with a shadowy coven known as the Hollow Hatch, though the exact nature of that connection remains unknown.
The Terms: In exchange for assassinating the Captain, Radvir has promised the party 100 gold pieces and custom-tailored magical armor. He has already provided a 20 gp retainer and taken the party’s measurements at The Nobleman’s Stitch.
