Tharivol serves as Captain of the Guard for the Ashtown district in Caliphas. Known for his crisp attire and stern demeanor, he represents the rigid arm of the law in one of Ustalav’s most impoverished and chaotic quarters.

Description #

Tharivol cuts a distinct figure against the grime of Ashtown. His face is sharp and memorable, framed by thick blonde hair and marked by a button nose, close-set blue eyes, and a large mole along his jawline.

A missing tooth mars an otherwise polished appearance, hinting at past violence despite his current fastidiousness. He is rarely seen without crisp, new clothing that stands in stark contrast to the tattered rags of the district’s residents. Visible upon his skin are tattoos of a dagger and an anchor.

Personality & Philosophy #

As the Captain of the Guard, Tharivol is unfriendly and dismissive of outsiders, often viewing adventurers as disruptions to the peace he struggles to maintain. He is a devout follower of Abadar, the god of cities, merchants, and law. Accordingly, he strictly opposes banditry, theft, and any action that undermines the authority of the courts.
