Overview #

Far from a lowly devil bound to mundane servitude, Greg Snerk is an infernal artisan whose papercraft was highly sought after throughout all layers of Hell. He operates a legendary enterprise known as Snerk’s Stationary, catering to fiendish aristocrats, dark scholars, and elite contract devils. His premium goods are woven from the flayed, magically bleached husks of damned bureaucrats and watermarked with the murky currents of the River Styx, rendering the parchment completely immune to fire, age, and holy water. His signature crimson ink—a proprietary blend of crushed brimstone and the blood of failed poets—guarantees that any contract signed upon it is cosmically binding.

The Binding to Lucinda Glaze #

Lucinda Glaze, an occult snob and purveyor of fine arts, refused to draft her arcane recipes and severance contracts on mortal parchment. Demanding only the absolute finest stationery for her desk notes, she actively sought Greg out across the planes. Bypassing traditional summoning circles, she negotiated a highly lucrative, exclusive retainer with the imp. In exchange for supplying her with limitless premium cardstock and unparalleled desk notes, Greg operates under her protection as her personal familiar.

Demeanor & Dispositions #

Greg possesses the haughty demeanor of a misunderstood genius and looks down upon any magic-user who drafts spells on common vellum. He treats his stationery as high art, often refusing to sell to lesser warlocks if he feels their penmanship will insult his paper. Despite his diminutive size, he carries himself with the pomp of an archduke, constantly inspecting the edges of contracts for proper fraying and muttering under his breath about the subpar quality of mortal quills.

Recent Activity #

Greg’s comfortable, elite arrangement in Caliphas was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of the Smash Sisters. After Lucinda negotiated a severance contract with the party to spare her own life, she hastily packed up Greg and his stationary-crafting supplies, and the pair fled the city. The indignity of being hastily stuffed into a hag’s luggage and exiled from his upscale Caliphas clientele remains a bitter point of contention for the proud infernal artisan, who is now forced to practice his dark artistry on the run.
