Overview #

The 3D Grapplers’ Union is a gritty, loud, and fiercely loyal organization operating out of the industrial suburbs of Orcania. Functioning as both a martial arts academy and a legally recognized guild, the Union provides a home, training, and legitimate employment contracts for the city’s bouncers, gladiators, and bare-knuckle fighters. The union hall smells of sweat, athletic tape, and rusted iron, echoing daily with the sounds of combatants being slammed onto the wooden sparring mats—or through retired military tower shields.

History & Operations #

Founding and “Titan” Terry #

The Union was founded by “Titan” Terry Dudley, a gnome brawler and illegitimate son of the legendary traveling bard “Big Daddy” Dudley. After retiring from the active adventuring circuit, Terry realized that unarmored fighters and working-class bouncers were often exploited by tavern owners and nobles. He established the Union to ensure fair pay and protection for these fighters, while also passing down his “Titan Wrestler” techniques.

The Union Hall Culture #

Unlike traditional, rigid monk monasteries or knightly orders, the 3D Grapplers’ Union operates on solidarity, tough love, and chaotic theatricality. Union boss Terry Dudley demands a high level of physical conditioning and tactical awareness, shouting his instructions until he is hoarse. The guild explicitly focuses on fighting larger, monstrous foes, teaching smaller combatants how to manipulate leverage and drop an enemy’s defenses.

Members of the union consider themselves a brotherhood. If an employer cheats a union member out of their hazard pay, or if bounty hunters come looking to collect on one of their own, the entire guild is known to rally to their defense with absolute, table-smashing prejudice.

Notable Ties #

The union hall holds a special significance for the party. It was here that Rhea, unable to afford the initiation dues, was taken in by Terry out of sheer solidarity. She was trained for free, learning the signature “3D” techniques. It was also within these rings that she met her tag-team partner, Helena, leading to the formation of “The Smash Sisters” before they took their act on the road.
